PLYMOUTH – Pilgrim Festival Chorus, a nonprofit community choral group, invites singers throughout the region to join in for open auditions at two Welcome Nights. At 6:30 p.m. Mondays, Jan. 11 and 18, Music Director William Richter and Assistant Director Elizabeth Chapman Reilly welcome newcomers of all skill levels to learn about PFC and audition for vocal placement, if they wish, at the Church of the Pilgrimage, 8 Town Square in Plymouth.

The first rehearsals of the spring concert “Glorious Victory,” featuring the “Lord Nelson Mass,” a full-length work composed by Franz Joseph Haydn, immediately follow auditions from 7 to 9 pm.

PFC is an auditioned singing group for male and female vocalists of all skill levels, dedicated to the performance of choral music from many genres. With about 80 current members, the group is particularly seeking men’s voices this season, especially singers in the tenor vocal range. Celebrating its 15th season, PFC typically offers two major choral performances each year. Pilgrim Festival Singers, a PFC offshoot volunteer singing ensemble, performs an annual summer post-season concert of lighter music, and also engages in occasional appearances at local community events.

Rehearsals throughout the season are held from 7 to 9 p.m. Mondays, with some exceptions for holidays. Spring concert performances will be held at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, April 23, and at 4 p.m. Sunday, April 24, at the Church of the Pilgrimage.
