Pilgrim Festival Singers, a select vocal ensemble of Pilgrim Festival Chorus (PFC), the region’s principal community choral group, presents its South Shore four-concert summer series, Magical Musicals on Friday, June 15, 7:30 pm, at Pilgrim Church UCC, 404 Washington Street, Duxbury. Additional performances will be held on Saturday, June 16, 7:30 pm, at First Congregational Church, 254 Main Street, Plympton; Saturday, June 23, 7:30 pm, at First Trinitarian Congregational Church, 381 Country Way, Scituate; and Sunday, June 24, 7:30 pm, at Spire Center for Performing Arts, 25 ½ Court Street, Plymouth. The ensemble is conducted by Co-Artistic Director William B. Richter and accompanied by Co-Artistic Director Elizabeth Chapman Reilly on piano.

A program of favorite musicals with magical themes, Magical Musicals captivates listeners with timeless stories set to music that enthrall. Travel in song to the Land of Oz (The Wizard of Oz and Wicked), 1910 London (Mary Poppins), and 18th century France (Beauty and the Beast). Each acclaimed musical originates in wonderful stories; these based long ago and far away in time and place that have fascinated fans. The most iconic songs from each stage treasure are featured, including Over the Rainbow, Feed the Birds, For Good and Beauty and the Beast.
